Now in his 6th year with the Portage Soccer Club, Coach Knight’s 30 years of coaching experience covers all age groups and includes Michigan, New York and New Jersey. He’s coached both boys and girls at the club and high school levels.
Born in England, he continues to play the sport he loves. He was a Three time all state player in high school (NJ) and selected as the best male soccer player at Glen Rock High Schools 50th anniversary celebration and was the first player inducted into their Hall of Fame.
He played Division 1 college soccer at Philadelphia University on a scholarship and as a senior was drafted (but never played) by the Detroit Express of the North American Soccer League (NASL). He also spent time playing with Newport County of the English fourth division in 1977.
