The Portage Soccer Complex officially opened for game play in May of 2002. This 37 acre complex has nine full sized fields and is considered one of the premier complexes in the state. It is located at 4422 Bishop Road in Portage Michigan. Centrally located between some of the larger soccer hubs in the region (Chicago Illinois: 145 miles, Fort Wayne, Indiana: 120 miles and Detroit Michigan: 141 miles); it is also home to the 25th annual Portage Classic Tournament.

The complex is the results of a collaborative effort with our partners, the City of Portage, AYSO Region 74 and The United Soccer Foundation. The United Soccer Foundation is a nonprofit group of soccer volunteers dedicated to enhancing youth and adult soccer in the Kalamazoo area. The USF is governed by a Board of 13 members, including representatives from River Oaks, AYSO 212, Portage Classic Tournament, Vicksburg Soccer Club, Portage AYSO 74, and the Portage Soccer Club.
The complex could not have evolved into the cornerstone of the community that it has without the countless supporters who continue to volunteer their services to our organization. A special thanks to Gordon Groves and Cornerstone Construction Management. Gordon and his firm donated their services as general contractor for this project. Not only was their donation a significant cost savings for us but their expertise was invaluable.
