Welcome Coaches to Portage SC!

We are excited to welcome you to the Portage SC coaching staff for the 2026–2027 season. Thank you for volunteering your time and commitment to our players and families.

To ensure you are eligible to coach and can be assigned to your team, please complete the following requirements through your GotSport account. Depending on your team’s league level, additional coaching education requirements may apply.

1. Complete Coach Registration

All coaches must register for the 2026–2027 season before they can be assigned to a team.

2. Update Your Profile Photo

Please upload a current headshot to your GotSport account.

Photo Requirements:

  • Face-only or passport-style photo

  • Clear and current image

If you have trouble uploading your photo, please contact Nikki Dee for assistance.

3. Complete Risk Management (Background Check)

Background checks must be renewed annually based on your individual expiration date.

4. Complete SafeSport Training

SafeSport certification must be completed annually.

Important: Use your name exactly as it appears in GotSport so your certification can be matched automatically.

Renewal: Returning coaches will typically complete the shorter SafeSport Refresher Course.

5. Complete CDC Heads Up Concussion Training

Concussion Awareness Training is required every three years and must be completed directly through GotSport to meet state law and WMYSA requirements.

How to Complete the Training:

  1. Log in to your GotSport account.

  2. Navigate to your Dashboard.

  3. Select Concussion Center.

  4. Complete the assigned course, including the interactive video and quizzes.

  5. Upon completion, your certificate will automatically be saved in the system.

  6. Please provide a digital or printed copy of the certificate to your team manager.
