ECNL-RL

The Elite Clubs Regional League (ECNL-RL) is a prominent youth soccer league positioned just below the prestigious Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). Its primary purpose is to create a competitive and developmental environment for clubs and players, serving as a stepping stone to the ECNL. 

What It Is:

  1. ECNL-RL 

    The ECNL-RL acts as a regional league designed to identify and nurture talent, providing clubs and teams with a high level of competition. This structure allows for a pathway to the ECNL, where top performers can earn promotion based on their achievements.

  2. Year-Round Seasons:

    The ECNL-RL features a year-round schedule with divisions for both fall and spring seasons. Teams participate in a double round robin format, ensuring that they have ample opportunity to compete against a variety of opponents throughout the year.

  3. Focus on Development:

    One of the core missions of the ECNL RL is to foster player development and club connectivity. The league aims to provide a consistent and professional environment, allowing players to enhance their skills while clubs work collaboratively to elevate the level of play.

  4. Competitive Events:

    The ECNL-RL offers a range of competitive events, including high-level tournaments and showcases. Notably, teams have the chance to compete against ECNL teams in the Open Cup, providing invaluable experience and exposure.

  5. Regional Focus:

    Structured around geographic regions, the ECNL RL minimizes travel demands for families while ensuring that teams are matched against opponents of similar skill levels. This regional focus helps maintain a balanced competitive landscape.

Registration

All families must finalize registration through both Athlete One and GotSport before the upcoming season begins.

This process will:

  • Confirm your family's contact information

  • Set up your preferred payment method

  • Complete all required liability waivers

Both registrations must be finished to ensure your player can be rostered and cleared for play.


ECNL-RL Registration and Acceptance Contract

Upon accepting a position, your Portage SC team $200 commitment fee is also due via the buttons/links below.   

  • Start your registration by filling out the Commitment Form via Praxis. Even if paying via check, all players must fill out the Praxis Registration. Pay in person is the option for paying by check.

    All player fees must be paid in full or a payment plan must be set up by August 1, 2026 of the seasonal year to be eligible to play/practice with your Portage SC team. All player fees must be complete by December 2026 for all full year and half year (spring/fall) teams.
